This department aims to nurture leaders in nursing through research on recent theories in nursing and their practical application based on the foundational and educational ideals of Chosun University.
Educational Goals
1) Masters' Program This program aims to nurture nursing professionals who can play important roles in various health management systems and specific goals are presented as follows: To explore and develop the knowledge of nursing. To enhance the exploration and research ability in nursing. To enhance the ability to perform in nursing which meets the needs of a changing society. To recognize changes in nursing and identify new trends and issues.
2) Doctoral Program This program aims to nurture nursing leaders who can develop knowledge in nursing and lead the health management systems of a regional society and its specific goals are presented as follows: To develop and establish our knowledge of nursing. To develop creative studies for the development of knowledge in nursing. To nurture outstanding health managers in a changing health environment. To nurture the ability as scholars who can seek for and present developmental directions for nursing.
3) Senior Nursing Personnel Program This program aims to nurture outstanding senior nursing personnel as leaders of senior health management systems with superior clinical ability. The specific goals are presented as follows: To nurture the ability of professional nursing practice. To nurture the ability to educate and counsel senior citizens. To nurture the ability to do research on the development of senior nursing practices and its application to practical nursing. To nurture the ability to work as change promoters and managers in senior health management systems. To nurture the ability to use cooperative practices through collaboration with health management teams.
